Our Philosophy

The principle aim in our teachings is to help people understand themselves through a process and principle of self-defense techniques, self-confidence, self-awareness, self-esteem, and self-control. This is achieved through the physical and mental demands of martial science training.  Crutchfield’s Hawaiian Kenpo is more than just self-defense.  If you demand nothing short of perfect unification of spirit, mind and body for the purpose of performing perfect physical form and motion, you can realize your physical and emotional potential.

A note on respect

Bowing is a form of paying homage to the art, past and present masters, the dojo (School), the instructors, your fellow students and guests.   Alone, the bow is just an empty motion.  It is the spirit in which it is done that gives it value and meaning.

To achieve your true potential, you must have STRENGTH IN HAND AND MIND.
